This is actually the first time I've seen the full version.
I was just so interested to see how it turned out like that. I'm so excited because I was present at the filming.
I'm sorry to say that I'm also in the film, but Director Kamibayashi rejected my right of veto, so I was forced to appear as a student!
Of course, the lecturer this time was Mr Masaaki Okimoto*, a member of our Utsuwa craftsman team and a hand-cut carpenter who runs the construction shop "Kisaburo".
The filming lasted more than 10 hours and really showed us the 'awesomeness' of many craftsmen.
The film is full of carpenters' wisdom and skills that cannot be talked about enough. I felt keenly that this is what has supported Japanese architecture.
It would be a shame if this technique, which has been built up by the experience of the craftspeople, were to disappear! I really, really thought.
I think this was also felt by the initiator and general director of this project, Mr Kambayashi, as well as the filming and editing creator of the video, Mr Onishi, and the film crew.
UTSUWA members in Germany and various other professionals were also involved in the production of this first film, which was the culmination of their efforts! We hope many people will watch it.
And while it's fun just to watch, please try making your own stilts with this video!
Don't worry! I was able to make it, so you can make it too! Don't worry, I'm not going to tell you how to do it!
And I'd love to hear your unyielding opinions, ideas, frank impressions and requests!
There is so much more to write about, but first of all..,
First of all, we would like to thank Ryo & Yuji, the project producers, who can't stop working on the next video.
Thank you ♡ And thank you so much for your hard work!
