Morizo- Architectural Design Studio Story 01

Completed in the first year of the Showa era. The Japanese Morizo-Office is located in this building. The architecture is 96 years old with a Taisho modern image.

It is a Western-style KANBAN building, but is actually a two-storey wooden building with clay walls ISHIBADATE.

Morizo- moved into this property in 2003 after it had been vacant for some time.

With the approval of the generous landlord, the former eye doctor's interior was extensively renovated.

It has already been 19 years since the property was used as an office, with occasional layout changes and gradual renovations.

Despite the heat island climate of central Osaka, it is surprisingly cool in summer, and reasonably cold in winter, so we use shoji paper screens and wear layers of clothing...

I enjoy the four seasons while making the most of the building's qualities as much as possible.

I love this building, where you can see the handiwork of the old carpenters.

昭和元年竣工。大正モダンなイメージの96歳の建築です。

洋館風の看板建築ですが、実は土壁石場建の木造二階建てです。

しばらく空き家になっていたこの物件にMorizo-が移転したのは2003年。

寛大な大家さんの了承を得て元目医者さんだった内部を大きく改装しました。

事務所として時折レイアウトを変えながら、また少しずつ改修を重ねながら、使わせて頂いて早19年。

ヒートアイランドの大阪中心部にもかかわらず夏は意外と涼しく、冬はそれなりに寒いので障子を重ね着して、、、

建物の良さをなるべく活かしながら四季を味わっています。

昔の大工さんの手仕事も見え隠れするこの建物が私は大好きです。
